ALPHADEV - Alphabétiser pour un développement durable
Description
Alphabétiser pour un développement durable - ALPHADEV - was created to work on the social economic promotion of women, children and youths from disadvantaged areas through a participatory and sustainable development. Its mission is to contribute to poverty reduction at the local and national level by building the capacities and the empowerment of grassroots populations.
For ALPHADEV, literacy is not an end in itself, but is an essential lever for the socio-economic emancipation of citizens. Therefore, ALPHADEV goes beyond the access to written codes and seeks the sustainable development of grassroots so that communities are capable of taking charge of their own development. It intervention strategy relies essentially on the use of the “Reflect” approach, a participatory approach to learning in link with social change and local development.
ALPHADEV works with an important network of local organisations and develops different community initiatives to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged people.
