Fair Trade Handicrafts
“Come discover the treasures of the International Pavilion! Creators of enchanting works, these artisans from the entire world only aspire to work in dignity and equity.” - Luck Mervil, Spokesman for the International Pavilion
At the International Pavilion, you will discover artisans who employ techniques passed down from generation to generation to create Tuareg jewellery, fine leatherworking, basketry, fabrics, sculptures, pure alpaca wool garments, pottery and so many other marvels.
Live demonstrations of their crafts by artisans, videos and other fascinating activities will be held at the International Pavilion throughout the Salon. Download the brochure.

This special project is being realised in collaboration with the Canadian Centre for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI) and World University Service of Canada (WUSC), as part of their joint Uniterra Program, along with MondÉquitable/Ten Thousand Villages. These organizations work every day to bring peoples closer together. Together, they foster the sharing of local knowledge and know-how internationally even as they awaken the Canadian public to fair trade handicrafts.
